Our Southern Belle dress is made from luxurious satin and in two parts. The underskirt is actually a separate piece pulled up under the swag-skirted dress like a slip. The slip’s ruffle is made from taffeta to give that wonderful swoosh when you enter a room. In back the bodice is tied with two large sashes that when tied in a knot give a rather bustled look.
This satin southern belle bodice is trimmed in an ecru lace and accented with the same color ribbon in the front and on the sleeves. We have also included a cinch purse, old fashion mitts for the wrists and a hair treatment of lace that simulates the old fashioned snood topped with silk roses to match the cluster on the waist. (Ringlets not included)
