Antebellum Frock

Our Antebellum Frock is made of moiré taffeta, the fashion choice of the era. We have designed this gown to capture the demure fashion worn by the ladies of the late 1800’s. We have brought the neckline up and dressed it with a beautiful ecru lace ruff and satin bow. The bodice and sleeves are embellished with the same color organza ribbon. The peplum sets off a skirt with insets to replicate the attachment for the hoop slip.

Our Antebellum frock includes a matching cinch purse and a hair treatment made of the same lace to look like the snoods worn in those days.
